Pediatric Nurse Practitioner

Job Title: Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (Full-Time)
Location: In-person | Private Practice | One Location
Salary: $80,000–$100,000 per year, depending on experience

Job Description:
We are a well-established private pediatric practice seeking a Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP). We will also consider a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) with significant pediatric experience.

Practice Hours:

• Monday through Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

• One evening per week: 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM (either Tuesday or Thursday)

• Rotating phone on-call coverage

Position Summary:
The Nurse Practitioner will provide comprehensive, family-centered primary care services to patients from birth through young adulthood. This includes screening, evaluating, diagnosing, and treating a wide range of pediatric conditions. Responsibilities also include prescribing therapeutic treatment plans (pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic), providing patient and family education, and coordinating referrals to other members of the healthcare team when appropriate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct well and sick visits, physical exams, and developmental screenings

• Manage chronic and acute conditions in pediatric patients

• Interpret lab and diagnostic tests (e.g., X-rays, bloodwork)

• Develop and implement individualized care plans

• Coordinate care with supervising physician and healthcare team

• Provide compassionate, culturally competent, family-focused care

• Maintain thorough and timely documentation in the medical record

• Participate in on-call coverage and staff collaboration as needed

• Uphold the highest standards of professionalism and clinical excellence

Required Qualifications:

• Master's Degree in Nursing

• Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) preferred

• Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) with pediatric experience considered

• Active and unrestricted Florida APRN license

• Board Certification (ANCC, PNCB, NCCPA, or equivalent)

• Strong clinical decision-making, communication, and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

• Must pass professional references, background check, and drug screening

Preferred Experience:

• Prior experience in a pediatric or family practice setting

• Experience caring for patients from newborn to age 18
