Medical Assistant

If you are an experienced Medical Assistant looking for a new opportunity, this could be the position for you!
 

The primary responsibility of this position will be to work with a TEAM that assists patients and providers.
 

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Must be a quick learner and able to work with a TEAM.

-Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills in composure, diplomacy, and the ability to interact with a diverse patient population. Bilingual a plus but not required.

-Perform triage with patient phone calls, clarifying rx's for pharmacies and parents, completing medical forms necessary, read patient medical records, obtain medical history, and understand pediatric screenings.

-Address/resolve all voicemail calls before leaving clinic at the end of the day.

-Interact with patients and guardians, obtaining vital signs, preparing patients and assisting physicians with patient exams and /or treatment.

-EMR charting and clerical work necessary to prepare for patient appointments.

-Perform other duties as assigned by direct Supervisor and Physician such as vaccinations, ear cleaning, breathing treatments, and capillary blood draws.

-Must present themselves in a professional manner of dress and behavior.

Required Education/Experience:

-High School diploma or GED

Preferred Education/Experience:

-Previous experience in healthcare administration or other related fields

-CMA Certification

-Knowledge of vaccinations, VFC, and Florida Shots.

-Bilingual
