There may be a time in your child's life that they need urgent, or emergency, medical attention. Immediately call 911 if your child is having trouble breathing, is unconscious, has a seizure, uncontrollable bleeding, or a severe injury. If you believe your child may have consumed medication or non-food items, call Florida Poison Control at 1-800-222-1222.
Some illnesses and injuries aren't severe enough to warrant an emergency room visit, but can't wait until Sunshine Pediatrics opens. These may include cuts that need stitches, a high fever, severe sore throat, and pain.
